Information for poster presenters

A wide variety of poster sessions are sought, covering topics of all kinds relating to all Ex Libris products or add-ons/extensions which you have developed around these systems.

Poster sessions will be selected by the Programme Planning Committee (consisting of the Programme Co-ordinators or nominees of the various Product Working Groups and the IGeLU Steering Committee), in conjunction with Special Interest Groups.

Once you have been notified of acceptance, you will need to be aware of the following details:

Posters should be ready for display by the beginning of the first day of the conference (09:00 on Monday 30 August 2010). The poster area will be available from 07:00 on Monday 30 August.

The venue will provide an appropriate display board and table for each of the posters.

The size of posters should generally be of a standard A1 paper size – approximately 23.4 × 33.1 inches or 594mm x 841mm or 59.4cm x 84.1 cm. Posters should be portrait (not landscape) layout.

If you have special needs, such as electrical outlets, you must request this through the organisers as early as possible.

Scissors, tape, thumb tacks/ pins, staplers, etc. will be available on-site for you to mount your poster.

Poster Presenters are required to be in attendance for a quick 1 minute presentation during the morning session on Monday 30 August, as well as during the designated poster session time on (TBD).

Handouts

You are strongly encouraged to provide brief handouts for your poster which, at a minimum, include your full contact information, the title and description/abstract of your session, and any information you can provide about where additional materials can be viewed or retrieved (e.g. on the IGeLU web site after the conference, a web address at your institution, from you by snail mail, etc.).

You should plan to provide any additional materials on your own; please bring 100-150 copies of these, and a generous supply of your business cards for when the handouts run out!
