Poster presentation guidelines

A wide variety of poster sessions are sought, covering topics of all kinds relating to all Ex Libris products or add-ons/extensions which you have developed around these systems.

Deadlines and Guidelines

Once you have been notified of acceptance, you will need to be aware of the following details:

  • You are responsible for transporting your completed poster to the conference venue. We will advise you of the exact location for display of posters in advance of the conference.
  • Posters should be ready for display by the beginning of the first day of the conference.
  • The venue will provide an appropriate display board and table for each of the posters.
  • The size of posters should generally be of a standard A1 paper size – approximately 23.4 × 33.1 inches or 594mm x 841mm or 59.4cm x 84.1 cm. Posters should be portrait (not landscape) layout.
  • If you have special needs, such as electrical outlets, you must request this through the organisers as early as possible.
  • Scissors, tape, thumb tacks/ pins, staplers, etc. will be available on-site for you to mount your poster.
  • Poster Presenters are required to be in attendance for a quick 1 minute presentation during the morning session at the start of the conference, as well as during the designated poster session time [Date and times to be confirmed].
  • Posters must be removed no later than [Date to be confirmed].

Handouts

You are strongly encouraged to provide brief handouts for your poster which, at a minimum, include your full contact information, the title and description/abstract of your session, and any information you can provide about where additional materials can be viewed or retrieved (e.g. on the IGeLU web site after the conference, a web address at your institution, from you by snail mail, etc.).

You’re advised to bring 100-150 copies of these, and a generous supply of your business cards for when the handouts run out! You should plan to provide any additional materials on your own.

IGeLU has issued a call for presentations and posters for the 7th IGeLU conference, to be hosted at ETH Zurich 11th - 13th September 2012. Please submit your proposals.
