Ebooks Focus Group

Ex Libris, IGeLU, and ELUNA have been cooperating in the development of an Ebook Management Focus Group, building on some of the work of the original Ebook Focus Group back in 2008.

The group has been focusing on Ebook management in the context of URM, user-driven acquisition of ebooks, metadata and CKB management issues, and business models.

Ex Libris are currently working on putting together a group of staff who will cover the relevant systems from both Resource Management and Discovery and Delivery business units. This group will develop the requirements for incorporating Ebook management in the Ex Libris product suite, based on the input from the Focus Group and other sources while considering the maturity of the Ebook related processes. They are targeting presenting the requirements to the Focus Group during Q1 2011.
