ARC users have awaited enhancements for a long time, and recently the Aleph Minor Release v.20.1.0 became available, which integrates 17 new fields! This is a success for the IGeLU ARC SIWG and good news for most of the ARC users. Why only “most”? Obviously not every user needs all new fields – that’s in the nature of enhancements – but some customers bemoan the policy that ARC enhancements are made available only in the latest Aleph version. Most effort lies in integrating the new information in the ARC data warehouse resp. presentation layer, while adding a new item to the Extract process in the context of a SP is the minor part of it. We would like to see ARC’s latest functional range even if we are on another Aleph version, wouldn’t we?
