At the beginning of March 2010 the Steering Committee will hold its regular between-conferences meeting. This time it will be in Ghent, where we will have a chance to approve the final budget for the conference and discuss with the very enthusiastic organising committee any questions that are still outstanding. CORE winning name for NERS

The winning name for the new enhancement request system (working title NERS) in the contest held at the IGeLU 2009 meeting in Helsinki is:
CORE.
The name was submitted by Liliana Bernardis of the University of Udine, Italy. Liliana received the first prize, a set of Finnish design glasses, from Pascal Calarco and Bob Trotter, chair and member of the ELUNA Steering Committee. Read more →

The IGeLU 2011 Conference will be hosted by the Library of Haifa University, Israel, in conjunction with the Ex Libris 2011 System Seminar.

Two new Product Working Group Coordinators

At the IGeLU 2009 meeting in Helsinki there were changes in two PWG’s.
Guido Goedemé, Coordinator of the DigiTool PWG reached the end of his term and will retire from working at the Royal Library of Belgium next year. Guido has been succeeded by Luis Miguel Costa of the University of Porto, Portugal. We all hope to meet Guido again at IGeLU 2010 in Ghent, Belgium next year! Read more →
