Join the Primo Working Group

The IGeLU Primo Working Group is looking to expand its membership with 2-3 persons. If you would like to get involved in this kind of community work, please consider this opportunity.
The Primo WG co-operates with ExLibris in developing new services and functionality for the Primo discovery solutions. The group covers both Primo and Primo VE. You can learn more about our work and who we are at: https://igelu.org/products/primo
Candidates are expected to have secured an understanding with their home institution that volunteer community work does require some level of engagement and time – 2-3 hours/month on average is a reasonable estimate.
We meet in monthly phone meetings, and, additionally, each WG member has specific roles that may require further activities on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, typically.  These roles include preparing and processing NERS enhancement voting, liaison to other groups, participate in Task Forces and Focus Groups, etc. Any of the existing roles could need extra help, so please state what aspect of our work you’d be particularly interested in.
To volunteer, you should:

  • come from an institution that is an IGeLU member (or it can become one), and
  • have experience working with Primo (with a Back Office), Primo VE, or both.

Please send a brief email about your interest and your relevant experience to the WG coordinator, Knut Anton Bøckman (knab {at} kb(.)dk)  by Friday, September 20, 2019. If more people come forward than we have open positions, an election among the candidates will be held in NERS shortly after the deadline.

Thank you for considering. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Knut on the above email address.
