News-in-Brief: February 2021

Dear IGeLU Community –

As always, I am pleased to bring to you our next edition of the New-in-Brief newsletter, our first for 2021.

Many of us are still dealing with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and doing our part by staying home when we can, wearing masks when out, and constantly washing our hands. Through this, we have learned to be creative and find other ways to stay involved in community affairs, especially with our respective library community. If you have some free time and are looking for ways to become involved, we encourage you to consider volunteering for IGeLU.

If you are looking for ways to occupy your time during the pandemic, the IGeLU Steering Committee invites you to consider volunteer opportunities within the IGeLU community.

We seek IGeLU representation for the following Work Groups:

  • Aleph
  • SFX
  • Summon
  • Voyager

We are also looking for members to join the GDPR Task Force. Please consider volunteering some of your time to one of these groups. If you are interested in joining any of these, feel free to reach out to me at cindy.greenspun@yale.edu or to any Steering Committee or Work Group member.

Take care and stay safe.
