Known Issue Platform – project updates

We have been working closely with ExLibris Colleagues on the Known Issues Platform.

Initial discussions on scoping the project started Q3 2024. We talked about best practices and good examples of market standards and systems/interfaces. ExLibris Colleagues did extensive research and internal cross team consultations. The tool would be used across the Support and R&D teams, and across Clarivate, so it had to work for those teams as well as it would for users.

A very fast but very focused iterative process happened in Q1/2 2025 – things moved quickly and we are about to see the launch of the Known Issues Platform at ELUNA 2025

It was quite quickly clear that while we were working on something which will be a real benefit to customers, it needed to be a system which would evolve and improve as people use it. It is not going to do everything we wish for on day one.

Both the Support Advisory Group and ExLibris are keen to gather your feedback. It’s important to understand that the Platform was built to work within current architecture (for the Clarivate Community) but to give the community what we’ve been asking for for quite a while.

Please take the time to look at the Known Issue Platform when you have access.

Please ask questions, suggest improvements, tell us what you like about it. But, manage expectations. It is a very new system built well. But it is not yet perfect.

We have compiled a list of questions which were asked by the group during the meetings. We hope to share them on the website in the format which might be useful.
