In Memoriam Noam Kaminer

On November 30th we received the sad news that Noam Kaminer has passed away.
Although some of us knew Noam suffered from a very serious illnes the news came as a shock to us.
Many of us have worked in the past years with Noam and we all have good and pleasant memories on him.

Noam joined Ex Libris as a project leader, implementing Aleph at various customer sites.
His career lead him to head of Aleph support and finally to director of the company’s global support organisation.
This last position put him on the stage of the General Q&A session at the 2013 IGeLU conference in Berlin, answering a lot of questions about the newly introduced support systems Salesforce and “Cloud Status”.

It didn’t matter to Noam if he was addressing a large audience in that session, or whether he was just talking in a more personal situation, he was a very decent guy, always friendly and with a good sense of humor and a fine professional to work with.

The death of Noam means a lot to us, we lose a great partner who was capable of handling difficult and complex situations between customers in need for support and a company trying to fulfill its obligations.
We will keep our remembrance of a man you liked to meet again year after year at the conference, for an exchange of ideas or just for friendship. Sadly we will not meet him again.

We wish his relatives, colleagues and friends strength in coping with this great personal loss.
