IGeLU 2019 – Call for candidates
Four open SC positions are becoming vacant
According to the IGeLU Statute, we will have to renew a part of the IGeLU Steering Committee, starting from the next IGeLU Conference in Singapore.
We have 4 official vacant SC member positions this Year due to the normal rotation of charges and the amendment to the Statute, approved last Year, that fixed to 7 the number of SC members, besides the Chair:
• Christian Henger – Mannheim University Library, Germany – [2017-2019] is at the end of his first term;
• Ken Herold – Adelphi University, USA – [2017-2019] is at the end of his first term;
• Shameem Nilofar Maideen – Singapore Management University [2015-2017; 2017-2019] is at the end of her second term;
• A new position decided by the Assembly of Members to steady the SC.
If you wish to present your candidacy or you would like to propose a candidate from an IGeLU member Institution, please feel free to contact me and the Chair by email: guido.badalamenti {at} asb.unisi(.)it ; dave.allen {at} slq.qld.gov(.)au. Candidacies need to be presented by the 11th July.
The candidates are asked to present themselves with the help of a few slides that will be made available on the IGeLU website. Information that should be included in the presentation includes which Ex Libris products in use in your organisation and what you can ‘bring’ to the International User Community
This Year the voting procedure will take place by electronic process, via NERS. All the Institutions, up to date with their annual fee payment, will be invited to vote in July/beginning of August. The results of the voting process will be announced at the 14th IGeLU Annual Conference in Singapore, during the Assembly of Members.
