Under our existing statutes we need a quorum of members to vote for the following items
- The IGeLU financial statements – https://igelu.org/about/organisation/budget/
- The Chair’s report – https://igelu.org/about/organisation/budget/
In addition, we have Steering Committee elections https://igelu.org/about/organisation/elections/
All elections will be via the NERS system https://ners.igelu.org/index.php?action=login and voting closes on 8th September 2022 with results announced at the IGeLU Assembly of Members.
There are three ballots running
- IGeLU 2022 Steering Committee Elections
- IGeLU 2022 Financial reports
- IGeLU 2022 Chair’s Report
So, it is essential that you connect to NERS and ‘submit votes’.
For the Steering Committee elections, you can
- Allocate no votes to the candidates
- Vote for all or some of the candidates
For the Financial and Chair’s reports you can
- Allocate no vote – this will indicate that you do not support / approve the reports
- Allocate a vote – this will indicate that you do support / approve the reports
Please be aware that the Chair’s report is indicating an increase in membership fees
- From €250 to €300 for institution not in a consortia arrangement
- From €200 to €250 for each institution in a Consortia arrangement
This increase in fees is the first increase in 10 years. Explanation for the increase in fees is supplied in the ‘Membership’ section of the Chair’s report.
Please send any questions or comments to the secetariat@igelu.org if you or your proxy cannot be physically or virtually present at the IGeLU Assembly of Members.
