Linked Open Data SIWG – An update

The Linked Open Data Working Body bids a fond farewell to Deputy Coordinator Roxana Popistasu, who is now focusing on other things in her role as Digital Preservation Coordinator at National Library of Luxembourg.  Working Body member Xiaoli  Li, Head of Cataloging, University of California, Davis has agreed to step up to the Deputy Coordinator role (thank you, Xiaoli!).

The Working Group has been focusing on identifying issues, both with the currently delivered functionalities in Alma and Primo where we are communicating with developers along with other community members on BaseCamp, and potential future ones as the Linked Open Data and BIBFRAME data ecosystems evolve (e.g. MARC21 subfields 0 and 1, vocabularies for inclusion in the upcoming lookup feature in Alma, improving RDA/RDF and other developments).  We’ll have a business session and update/discussion with Ex Libris at ELUNA and demo use of some of the current APIs at Developers Day in Spokane, WA,  and hope to do the same or more at the IGELU annual meeting in Prague.  If you have questions or wish to contribute, join our mailing list ( ) or contact Coordinator Laura Akerman,
