Notes from the annual ANZREG Seminar

The Australia New Zealand Regional Ex Libris Group (ANZREG) had its annual seminar on the 12th of February in Melbourne at the Monash University Law Chambers. The theme of the seminar was “Discovery services “ and sessions covered creation of discovery interfaces using the Primo APIs, comparison of Summons and Primo and creation of an A-Z list which was subject based.

Our keynote speaker was Dr Tim Sherratt, from Canberra University, who spoke about and demonstrated the application of Linked Open Data from a practical perspective. In addition, on the 11th of February ANZREG held two separate events. These were a Developer’s Day and an Alma Best Practice Day. Our keynote speaker for the Developer’s Day was Masud Khokhar from Lancaster University who lost sleep to make his presentation to the ANZREG developer’s community. All events were well attended and attendees included customers using the InTota and Summons. Information on the sessions van be found at http://anzreg.org/ or by contacting the chair at dave.allen@slq.qld.gov.au
