Singapore 2019 updates

Preparations for the 14th Annual IGeLU Conference to be held in Singapore are well underway. As is customary, the IGeLU Steering Committee held its Spring meeting at the Conference venue and set in train further arrangements for the Conference itself. The main programme will run from Monday 26th August to Thursday 29th August, with the usual IGeLU Officers and INUG meetings being held on the preceding weekend (24th to 25th August).

This year we will not only be holding the Conference and Developers’ Day but also working with Ex Libris to run their Knowledge Day on Monday 26th August – this will run in parallel to the Developers’ Day as the two audiences and the aims of each day are very different. Developers’ Day focuses on the work done by local developers within the IGeLU community to enhance or add functionality to their library systems. On the other hand, Knowledge Day affords delegates the opportunity to attend advanced training in Ex Libris products led by Ex Libris experts.

The main Conference theme this time round is “Driving change, creating value together” and we encourage you to consider this when formulating your proposals. These can be submitted at our call on ProposalsSpace. These will be peer reviewed on a rolling basis this year so you will hear back from us sooner than in previous years.
