Background
In early 2023, Jed Gilmore, the ELUNA, and the IGeLU Steering Committees met to discuss Project Flash and the next steps towards improving the Ex Libris customer experience. After the ELUNA Annual Meeting, it was decided to convene a group of various customer types to discuss ways to improve the Ex Libris support experience.
An invitation went out to the user group at the end of 2023 and the group formed at the start of 2024. We are a group of fourteen. Seven IGeLU members and seven ELUNA members. In order to reflect the user community as widely as possible, members were chosen to represent multilingual and multi-site consortia as well as individual institutions.
After some initial changes the group settled into its current membership in March/April 2024.
The group meets on the last thursday of each month followed a week later by a joint meeting with ExLibris Support colleagues.
Please take a look at our meeting notes for more detail. We will also be recording any joint decisions made together with ExLibris.
