Notes from the conference chair:
The IGeLU Steering Committee had our mid-year face-to-face meeting in Singapore at the beginning of March. As part of the meeting, we met with Ex Libris senior management to discuss various issues impacting our community. In addition, we also had the opportunity to ‘check out’ the Singapore venues and meet with the Professional Conference Organisers (PCO). I am happy to say that the venues look great and we are working to ensure that the IGeLU 2019 conference will be a success.
On a completely different subject, IGeLU 2019 membership fees are due for payment on the 30th April 2019. This payment date was approved by the members in 2018. As you are aware, IGeLU is the independent International voice of the Ex Libris user community and we rely heavily on your membership fees to provide services such as product lists, enhancement voting, and other advocacy activities. Information on membership and how to pay is located on our web site at https://igelu.org/about/membership. If you plan to discontinue your membership would you please let me know so that I can update our records? Also, feedback on why you are discontinuing membership would be greatly appreciated as it will help us understand what we have done wrong and what needs to be done better.
