The Rosetta Advisory Group meeting was held in Sheffield, UK between the 12th and 14th of June. The meeting was attended by existing and potential Rosetta members as well and Ex Libris senior management. The Rosetta Advisory Group meeting was held in conjunction with the Rosetta User Group. Discussions were undertaken within the RUG to determine its long term direction as either an independent user group or a PWG under IGeLU/ELUNA.
Key Points
- Version 3 to be released in Aug 2017 and will support IIIF (International Image Interoperability Framework) applications such as OpenSeaDragon
- To support IIIF, Rosetta sites will need to move from port 80 (HTTP) to port 443 (HTTPS)
- IIIF V3 will support A/V and time based material
- Brigham Young University has a Digital Preservation priority Form as well a Level of Preservation Form
