News from Ners

This Spring we have been working on enhancing both the technology that supports the NERS system as well as the teams that provide support for the system. Active collaborative development on the system is under way and as our programmers become more familiar with the code structure, we should be ready soon to take user requests for system improvements.

Our recent call for volunteers was successful and we now have more volunteers willing to support creating documentation for NERS and providing technical support during voting cycles – thanks to all who have volunteered. Also, product working groups have been trained in changing passwords so that we have more people capable of addressing the most common issues reported during voting.

We will announce the members of each of our teams in the next newsletter when everyone is settled into their new roles. We can always use one or two more willing programmers. Any interested individuals should contact Mark Dehmlow, mdehmlow@nd.edu.
