Quick Notes on the 12th Annual IGeLU Conference Planning

Preparations for IGeLU 2017 in St. Petersburg, Russia are already underway . The conference web site is already up and registration will start in the next few weeks. http://igelu2017.nlr.ru/
You can already find on the website some information regarding Visa to Russia.
The conference venue has been reserved for the event at the Holiday Inn Moskovskye V.
The conference website we will offer additional alternatives for accommodation . The social event is currently being planned.
The keynote speakers for the conference have been finalized.
We are glad to inform you that Corey Harper has accepted our invitation to be the Opening keynote speaker. Corey is a Data Scientist and Technology Researcher with Elsevier Labs. Prior to this, he spent nearly 15 years building digital libraries, administering library systems, and managing library metadata in University Libraries.
He is going to tell us about New roles for libraries in the age of artificial intelligence.

Our closing distinguished keynote speaker is Prof. Tomilin Alexander, from the Institute for System Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Tomilin is a father of first Russian supercomputer.
He is also a developer of first real-time operating system which was used for first Russian space program.
He knows everything about space and will speak about first launches and current situation.
This year we hope to welcome more new members joining the conference from ProQuest Workflow Solutions.

Developers day will follow the conference and is a great opportunity to meet colleagues who develop new features in the systems.
