The International Group of Ex Libris Users (IGeLU) is the collective voice and advocate for users of Clarivate | Ex Libris products. We hold more than 550 voting member institutions representing more than 2600 Libraries or Archives using Ex Libris products in 41 countries around the world.

We represent members from the following continents/regions:

  • Asia
  • Africa
  • Europe
  • North America
  • South America
  • Australia/Oceania

Our aims are:

  1. providing an open and transparent organization for all users of Ex Libris Ltd. software products;
  2. promoting information exchange among institutions that use Ex Libris products in order to enhance their library services by sharing information, documentation and resources;
  3. providing networking opportunities for Ex Libris product users;
  4. coordinating and prioritizing requests for the development and documentation of Ex Libris products and support by Ex Libris;
  5. representing the user community in dealings with Ex Libris and other relevant bodies;
  6. submitting proposals for projects to any national or international funding institution, either independently or in cooperation with similar national or international organizations.

IGeLU works with our sister organisation, Ex Libris Users of North America (ELUNA), and with over 30 independent National and Regional User Groups, in lobbying for enhancements, development initiatives, and service improvements. We have a strong, positive relationship with Clarivate|Ex Libris, and work in partnership on product enhancements, collaborative testing of new releases, and focus groups.

We’re open to all users of Ex Libris products – see how to join.
