IGeLU and ELUNA coordinate our enhancement voting cycles using the new cooperative enhancement request system, NERS. Thus, IGeLU will no longer use the old ICAU system. Members of IGeLU and ELUNA submit requests into NERS and the requests will be votable to both organizations, regardless of where the idea came from. IGeLU and ELUNA will however hold separate votes and will coordinate voting results in the case that both groups select particular requests.
The NERS database is open for new Aleph requests http://ners.igelu.org and will remain open until Sept. 14, 2011 when it will be closed for the 2012 Aleph voting cycle. We will not migrate requests from the old ICAU database and ask that IGeLU members update and re-enter any ICAU requests that are still wanted, into the NERS database. A few enhancements remain in the database from ELUNA’s recent final vote and will be eligible for voting in the next cycle.
At this point in time, access to NERS is limited to each member sites official representative. These can be found here:
IGeLU – https://igelu.org/about/membership/membership-list
ELUNA – http://eluna.galib.uga.edu/
These individuals received NERS login credentials previously and possibly already have experience with using the database in voting for other ExLibris product enhancements. Please verify as soon as possible that your organization is able to access NERS. Do not wait until later.
If you have problems with logging into or using NERS, please contact: ners@igelu.org
